How to AutoSave Microsoft Word 2007 Documents

Here is a quick tip to help you save your Microsoft 2007 Word Documents. Had this happen today with a client and this will give you peace of mind if you happen to forget to save a project you are working on.

Follow along....

* Open Microsoft Word 2007

*
Click on the "Save" or "Save As" button (even though you may not have typed in any text yet)

* Look at the New window that opens up

* In the lower left hand corner you will see a word "Tools" with a down arrow next to it

* Click the Down arrow next to the word "Tools"
* Another window will open up

*
Click the word "Save Options"
* A new window will pop up
* the first Heading is "Save Documents"
* See "Save Auto Recovery" make sure the box next to it is
checked
* next to the minutes select the time you prefer (It defaults to 10) minutes, I changed mine to "3"
