Meet the Digital Dynamo
Denise “DeeNice” Rhodes
has been working in the Medical and the IT Technology industries for
over 15 years. Engaged in business development and territory sales
management, she has worked to create, develop and implement
strategic plans for companies like HP, Microsoft and pharmaceutical
companies. She has built a stellar track-record by consistently
exceeding sales objectives, boosting revenue and profit growth for
major fortune 500 companies while displaying outstanding leadership.
One cannot speak of these accomplishments without mentioning
DeeNice’s unforgettable energetic, positive upbeat “go get em”
attitude. Anything else would truly undermine the Digital Dynamo’s
true sense of character and talent.
Deenice’s nickname, the Digital Dynamo tm is the trademarked
name of her company, which came about during a stint as a Gospel DJ
in Washington DC. However, her deep rooted commitment to the urban
community prompted her to create and launch The Urban Progressive
Foundation in 1997. The Urban Progressive Foundation project is
part of a CDP, 501 (c) (3), public charity. The foundation’s purpose
is to educate, train, inform, and create hands-on programs/events
that enhance the lives of various communities. Through community
and technology education and development, TUPF helps the underserved
communities, such as senior/elderly, youth, disabled, low-income and
rural individuals. These “underserved yet well deserved”
groups become engaged in technology through educational programs
that support and promote personal interest in their communities.
Currently her main objective is to facilitate the upcoming 2009
transition to digital television. She is a member of the Capital PC
User Group (Washington, DC) and a speaker/trainer spreading the word
about the transition. The Digital Dynamo specifically targets
seniors/elderly, people with disabilities, low-income families and
people living in rural areas in the US.
Working with disadvantaged and underserved groups increased the
Digital Dynamo’s compassion for them and her passion is to help as
many as possible get “connected” during the Transition to Digital TV
explosion. She has since established the Urban Progressive
Foundation.
